Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Gladys Ignacio: breathwork facilitator, lifelong musician, martial artist, and mother of five (four on earth, one in heaven).

My path to holding space began long before I had the words for it. I studied chemistry at Harvard, spent years in biology labs, and poured my heart into music — first as a pianist, then flutist, singer, and music educator. I later taught kung fu and tai chi, spent time raising my neurodivergent children, and served in spiritual communities, even helping plant a church.

But nothing shaped me more than the quiet, unseen work of surviving. Of rebuilding after grief, divorce, and disconnection. Of listening to bodies — my own and others’ — when words failed.

That’s what led me here. To Neurodynamic Breathwork™. To movement. To creativity. To creating a space where others could exhale and come home to themselves.

This isn’t just professional for me. It’s personal. And it would be an honor to hold space with you.

The Origin of Change the Shape

Change the Shape is something I used to tell my children when they felt stuck, overwhelmed, or powerless. You don’t have to fix everything, I’d remind them. It’s about small shifts, even tiny.
